| The Meriwether Known as the "River Blocks" neighborhood. The South Waterfront is situated on 38 acres of Willamette riverfront property. The "River blocks" are slated to be complete in 2010, with the Meriwether first to have opened it's doors in Spring 2006. The building will pursue leadership in energy and environmental design certification, which determines how well a building performs relative to environment standards. L.E.E.D. Certified buildings show a responsible approach to development while using sustainable materials and energy conserving lighting, appliances, recycled materials in construction to lower our impact on the environment. Storm water will be filtered naturally through a bio-swale and will help water the surrounding greenspaces. The entire River Blocks neighborhood is being developed by the same team that helped envision and create the Pearl District and turned the Brewery Blocks into one of the most successful mixed-use developments in Portland's history: Block 30 LLC, an affiliate of Williams & Dame Development and Gerding/Edlen Development - in conjunction with Portland Development Commission. We have seen since the construction of this quality building only a small number of resale units now available. Many are move in ready and a short distance to the OHSU via the state of the art Aerial Tram. Call me for specifics! Tram Info @ www.portlandtram.org |
